Messages


1. Elements of the “Messages” section

In this section, you can learn more about the different components of the “Messages” section in the dashboard and how to manage messages.

1.1 Prerequisites

To access the dashboard, you must log in to CASY using your credentials.

1.2 Parts of the “Messages” section

In this section, you can see messages created by CASY users that are relevant to the current day.

The box lists all currently relevant messages.

Each message displays the icon of the user who created the message (B), followed by their name (C). Next to it, the date (D) and the text of the message (E) are displayed.

To edit messages, click on the “edit” icon. (A)

2. Actions to manage messages

2.1 How can messsages be managed?

3 actions can be performed to manage messages: create, edit, or delete a message.

2.2 Prerequisites

In order to manage messages, you must click on the edit icon on the right side of the “Messages” section title.

2.3 Message management section

This section is structured into two parts:

  • In the first, new messages can be created. (2.2.A)
  • In the second, all existing messages are displayed, with the option to edit or delete them. (2.2.B)

2.4 Create a message

Step 1

To create a message, you must fill in the “Message” field by inserting the title of your message.

Step 2

In the “From” and “To” fields, you can define the time period when the message will be displayed in the dashboard.

  • In case the “From” field is not defined, the message will be displayed immediately.
  • In case the “To” field is not defined, the message will be displayed permanently.
Step 3

In the “Message details” field, you can add additional information that you do not want to include in the message title.

Step 4

To save the message, click “Add”.

2.5 Edit a message

Step 1

In the existing messages view, click on the edit icon next to the message you want to edit.

Step 2

At this point, you can edit the 4 fields (“Message,” “From,” “To,” “Message Details”), as already explained in Chapter 2.4 “Create a Message”.

Step 3

To save the changes, click on “Save.” If you want to undo the changes, click “Cancel”.

2.6 Delete a message

Step 1

To delete a message, click on the “remove” icon next to the message you want to delete.

Step 2

Confirm the deletion in the popup that appears by clicking “OK” or cancel the operation by clicking “Cancel.”
