Automatic Title Recognition

1. Overview

The Automatic Title Recognition feature uses a local AI model (LLM) to determine the most appropriate title for an address.

When you enter or modify address information, CASY analyzes the available data—such as the first name, last name, and whether the contact is a company or a private person—to automatically suggest the most suitable title (for example, Mr., Mrs., Company, etc.).

Because the analysis is performed by a local AI model, no personal data is sent to external AI services.

2. How It Works

The AI evaluates the available address information, including:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Adresses
  • Whether the contact appears to be a company or an individual

Based on this information, CASY automatically selects the most appropriate title.

The same recognition system is also used when addresses are imported automatically from connected Channel Managers.

3. AI Processing Indicator

The magic wand button next to the Title field indicates whether automatic title recognition is enabled.

  • Green: Automatic title recognition is enabled. Whenever you change relevant address information (such as the first name, last name, or company name), the AI automatically recalculates the suggested title.
  • Red: Automatic title recognition is disabled. The title will not be recalculated automatically.

Your preference is remembered. If you enable or disable automatic title recognition, CASY will use the same setting the next time you open or edit an address.

Since the AI model runs locally, recalculating the title may take a few seconds. During this time, the suggested title may not be updated immediately.

4. Accuracy

The title recognition is designed to achieve a high level of accuracy, but like any AI system, it is not always correct.

Factors such as uncommon names, missing information, or ambiguous data may result in an incorrect title being suggested.

The title can always be changed manually if necessary.

5. Privacy

All title recognition is performed locally within CASY using a local AI model.

  • The feature provides AI-assisted title recognition while maintaining data privacy.
  • No address data is transmitted to external AI providers.
  • Personal information remains within your CASY environment.
